Welcome to the Ella Baker Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Wednesdays after school from 2:20pm-3:30pm in the Gym.
- Cost: Tuition is $232 per student per 9 week session. (Registration starts on November 21)
- Dates: Our Winter Session starts on January 8 and runs until March 12. We will not have chess club on January 29. Our Winter make-up option will be for March 19.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 10-minutes of snack time during attendance
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Lane leads the Ella Baker Chess Club along with Coach Travis, Coach Harrison, and Coach Steve.
