Welcome to the Mark Twain Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Mondays after school from 3:45pm-5:00pm in the Cafeteria.
- Cost: Tuition is $220 per student per 10 week session.
- Dates: Our Winter Session starts on January 6 and runs until March 24. We will have no chess on January 27 and February 17. Our Winter make-up option will be on April 7.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 10-minutes of snack time during attendance
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minutes club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- 5-minutes for cleanup and student dismissal
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Pete leads the Twain Chess Club along with Coach Steve.
