Welcome to the Ella Baker Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Tuesdays before school from 8:00am-9:00am and Wednesdays after school from 2:20pm-3:30pm in the Cafeteria.
- Cost: Tuition is $232 per student per 10 week session.
- Dates: Our Winter Session starts on January 6 and runs until March 11. More Info
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 10-minutes of snack time during attendance (Wednesday only)
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Lane leads the Ella Baker Chess Club along with Coach Jeffrey, Coach Tim, and Coach Pete.
