Welcome to the Carl Sandburg Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Tuesdays after school from 3:15pm-4:30pm in the Library.
- Cost: Tuition is $200 per student per 9 week session.
- Schedule: Our Fall Session starts on September 30 and runs until December 2. We will not have chess club on November 11.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 10-minutes of snack time during attendance
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- 5-minutes for cleanup and checkout
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Tim leads the Sandburg Chess Club along with Coach Travis.
