Welcome to the Horace Mann Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Mondays after school from 3:55pm-5:00pm. Grades K-2 will meet in Rooms 124 and 126. Our Grades 3-5 group will meet in Room 213.
- Cost: Tuition is $225 per student per 9 week session.
- Dates: Our Fall Session starts on September 28 and runs until December 7. We will not have class on November 23. More Info
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 5-minutes of snack time during attendance
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Tim leads the Mann Chess Club along with Coach Ben, Coach Valentina, and Coach Pola.
