Welcome to the KIMS Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Wednesdays after school from 12:45pm-1:45pm. Chess will meet in the Commons to start and then we will move to Pod 3. (students will be responsible to sign themselves in and out with the chaperone. The chaperone will not require a parent/guardians to sign their students out.)
- Cost: Tuition is $225 per student per 10 week session. (Registration closes September 18)
- Schedule: Our Fall Session starts on September 23 and runs until December 9. We will not have club on November 11 and November 26.
- Ages: All Kirkland Middle School Students are welcome to join our program!
- Schedule:
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Paul leads the Kirkland Middle School Chess Club along with Coach Lane.
