Welcome to the Rachel Carson Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Thursdays before school from 8:05am-9:05am in the Commons/Cafeteria.
- Cost: Tuition is $220 per student per 10 week session.
- Dates: Our Fall Session starts on October 3 and runs until December 12. We will not have chess on November 28. Our Fall make-up class would be on December 19.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Pete leads the Rachel Carson Chess Club along with Coach Lane.
