Welcome to the Cougar Ridge Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Mondays after school from 3:40pm-4:45pm in Portable 6.
- Cost: Tuition is $220 per student per 10 week session.
- Dates: Our Winter Session starts on January 5 and runs until April 6. We will not have chess club on January 19, January 26, February 16, and March 30. Our Spring Session starts on April 20 and runs until June 1. We will not have chess club on May 25.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into 3 different groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 5-minutes of snack time during attendance
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Lane leads the Cougar Ridge Chess Club along with Coach Steve and Coach Harrison.
