Welcome to the Island Park Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Mondays after school from 3:45pm-4:50pm in the Library.
- Cost: Tuition is $185 per student per 8 week session.
- Dates: Our Spring Session starts on April 21 and runs until June 16. We will not have chess club on May 26 (Memorial Day).
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 5-minutes of snack time during attendance
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Peter leads the Island Park Chess Club along with Coach Harrison and Coach Steve.
