Welcome to the Lakeview Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Thursdays before school from 7:55am-8:55am or Fridays after school from 3:40pm-4:50pm in the Library. Clubs will be covering separate chess topics and students are welcome to register for one or both days.
- Cost: Tuition is $225 per student per session.
- Schedule: Our Winter Session starts on (Thursday) January 16 and (Friday) January 10. Clubs run until April 3 (and April 4). We will not have chess on January 30, January 31, February 13, February 14 and March 7.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Tim leads the Lakeview Chess Club along with Coach Lane, Coach Travis and Coach Harrison.
