Welcome to the Northwood Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Fridays before school from 8:00am-9:00am in the Cafeteria.
- Cost: Tuition is $280 per student per 12 week session, $240 per student per 10 week session, and $180 per student per 7 week session.
- Dates: Our Fall Session starts on September 11 and runs until December 11. Our Winter Session starts on January 8 and runs until April 9. Our Spring Session starts on April 23 and runs until June 11. We will not have chess club on October 9, November 27, March 19, March 26 and May 28.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into multiple groups based on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Tim leads the Northwood Chess Club along with Coach Lane.
