Welcome to the West Mercer Chess Club!
- Day: We meet on Mondays before school from 8:05am-9:05am in the Cafeteria.
- Cost: Tuition is $230 per student per 10 week session.
- Dates: Our Fall Session starts on September 29 & October 2 and runs until December 8 & 11. We will not have chess club on November 24 and November 27. Our Winter Session starts on January 12 and runs until April 6. We will not have chess club on January 19, January 26 and February 16.
- Ages: All students grades K-5 are welcome to join our program. Students will be split up into 2-3 groups depending on chess skill and experience!
- Schedule:
- 20-minutes of practice play while coaches give feedback.
- 20-minutes of interactive and engaging lessons
- 20-minute club tournament round where we track results and pass out Trophies and Medals to our top finishers on the final class.
- All students receive an Excel with Chess club t-shirt along with weekly optional homework sheets.
- Coaching Team: Coach Lane leads the West Mercer Chess Club along with Coach Walter and Coach Pete.
